About Us

ONDES is a dedicated NGO operating in Lebanon, focusing on community development, women’s political participation, and youth engagement in local governance. We promote socio-economic growth through consulting, capacity building, studies, and public events, emphasizing citizen participation as a cornerstone of local development.
We recognize the vital role women play as economic, social, and political actors and work to enhance their inclusion through development and networking programs. In a region grappling with conflicts, we empower youth as essential stakeholders in peace-building through coaching and capacity-building training.

Community Development

We partner with municipalities, civil society, and communities to co-create inclusive development strategies. Empowering local stakeholders, we ensure projects reflect community needs and drive sustainable, meaningful impact.

Youth Engagement

Recognizing the transformative power of youth, ONDES empowers young people to actively participate in peace-building and local governance through workshops, debate training, and leadership programs.

Women’s Empowerment

ONDES champions women’s political and social participation, offering training and support that helps women take on leadership roles in local governance and beyond. Our programs aim to break barriers and promote gender equality in decision-making spaces.

Consulting & Research

ONDES offers consulting services and research to inform policy development, focusing on governance, gender equality, and community resilience. We focus on qualitative tools such as focus groups, panel discussions and town-hall meetings.

Our Team

Victoria El-Khoury
As co-founder and Executive Director, I've been deeply committed to empowering women in politics since my initial election in 2004. Re-elected in 2016, my journey has been driven by a passion to create pathways for women's leadership and amplify their voices.
Charbel Aoun
As a projects coordinator, I work on several programs while advocating for art as a powerful communication tool. I am also an actor, theater and speech coach, psychosocial support facilitator through arts, and independent video creator for social media.
Rana Demian
I am the MEAL consultant capturing the impact of our initiatives.I believe that young people and women have an essential role to play in achieving change on the local level as well as on the national level, and they set an example of dedication & professionalism.
Rachel Rizkallah
As the admin officer, I keep things running smoothly. I handle the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything stays organized and efficient. I believe that transparency and honesty are keys to build better governance.
